I still remember to this day when I waited anxiously for the premiere of Samurai Champloo on Adult Swim. When the theme song came on (Battlecry), I literally was buggin' OUT to my sister about how SICK that song was. </div><div><br /></div><div>From that point on, I discovered the world of Nujabes, Shing02, and many other hip-hop tracks by a lot of people that have inspired me to this day, allowing me to see that good music, hip-hop in particular, does exist. I wanted more people to discover these great artists, in part by doing the mash-ups I do, combining artists people know, with works by Nujabes and whatnot, so they would be like, "Ohhh snap, this beat is hot. Lemme check out more stuff from him." </div><div><br /></div><div>I did this track to show my gratitude for him. I got teary eye'd when I heard about his passing. It was too unbelievable for me. His music has helped me, and many others, through many rough times. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest producers that hip-hop has ever seen. There were some really great beat choices by Drama, and the vocoder for Wayne this time around actually sounded pretty good now that I've gotten used to it. The self titled track, Dedication 3, is my favorite track off of the album. He has his Young Money artists on there too, which I thought was great to allow them to gain some exposure. Lyrically wise, Wayne is just chillin', so he wasn't as impressive as he was on Dedication 2. I do think the self titled track is the "Cannon" of Dedication 3 however, though still not as good. All in all, its a great mixtape, with features such as Gudda Gudda, Tyga, Nikki Minaj and a bunch of others.
